Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 1.5 c flour Try using 1/2 cup whole wheat flour with 1 cup white flour to boost nutrients
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
Other Ingredients
- 1 egg white
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla flavor
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup chopped apples
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
- Sift together dry ingredients.
- Combine egg white, milk, butter, vanilla and brown sugar. Add chopped apples and nuts.
- Add wet ingredients to flour mixture. Stir until dry ingredients are moistened. Do not overmix.
- Place about 1/3 cup of muffin mix into muffin liners or a greased muffin tin. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool on cooling rack.
