How many New Year’s resolutions have you made and failed to keep? Yeah, me too. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be better or accomplish more each year but a resolution usually does not get us there. Instead, I have decided to focus on making small changes each week to see what I can accomplish by the end of 2017. Of course, I have some overall goals in mind but I cannot stress myself out by concentrating on the end results. My impatience just causes me to become frustrated and discouraged when the results do not manifest fast enough. So with my long “to do” list including everything from exercising more consistently to eating a larger variety of healthy foods to organizing my house and planting an awesome garden, taking it day by day is less overwhelming. The need for words of encouragement and inspiration cannot be neglected and time taken to find our motivation is time well spent. Evaluating our goals and effort is a must to guarantee our life is invested in things that deserve our time and attention. I look forward to working on all these things in the coming year and I would love for you to share in the experience as we discuss ways to live a healthier, more inspired life. Now I am off to find my walking shoes. 🙂
